B stands for building. We will continue building on the foundation our ancestors laid for us. R stands for resilience. As we navigate systemic racism, we must be resilient, just like the people who came before us. A stands for awareness. We must practice awareness and bring it to our communities. V stands for variations. We are beautifully created with difference. Our skills, talents, and gifts are diversified. E stands for excellence. Throughout history, Black and Brown people have consistently demonstrated excellence in contribution to society, including as inventors, activists, doctors, artists, and more. We grow from these roots and values of expression.
