At BRAVE – Building Resilience Awareness & Variations of Excellence – Our Legacy, Our Glory is more than a campaign. It’s a declaration. A celebration. A commitment.

We honor the brilliance of our ancestors and the resilience they passed down through generations. Our Legacy, Our Glory speaks to the power of knowing our roots, owning our truth, and stepping boldly into our future. It reflects BRAVE’s belief that youth of color deserve to not only survive systems of oppression—but thrive, lead, and transform them.

This year, Our Legacy, Our Glory comes to life through the launch of the Youth Self-Empowerment Workbook, created by the youth of BRAVE’s 2025 Summer Program. Designed by youth, for youth and grounded in real data from young people across Washington, this one-of-a-kind resource helps youth explore identity, speak their truth, and grow into their full potential. It centers on three transformative themes: Know Thyself, Speak Truth to Purpose (Social Justice), and Revolutionary Healing.

BRAVE – Building Resilience Awareness & Variations of Excellence is a youth development nonprofit that equips youth and families of color with tools to overcome institutional oppression and build strong, equitable communities. Through our Trailblazers and Wrap-Around programs, BRAVE empowers youth with a sense of identity, leadership, and purpose through the pillars of:
